Objectives and
Topics
The objectives of
the
FRPRCS-8
Symposium are to provide a
forum for the presentation and discussion of
recent developments in the use of fiber
reinforced polymers (FRP) and other
continuous fiber composites in concrete and
masonry structures, and to provide an
opportunity for international delegates from
industrial, research and academic
institutions to interact and share their
knowledge, to learn about new and innovative
technologies in the field and to discuss
future directions.
The
FRPRCS-8
Symposium will deal with all aspects of
research, development and application of FRP
reinforcement (externally applied, internal,
in the form of structural shapes) for
concrete and other structures, such as
unreinforced masonry (including historic
buildings). Topics of the conference will
include but are not limited to:
|
-
Strengthening of concrete structures using
FRP systems
-
Seismic
retrofitting of concrete structures with
FRP materials
-
Behavior
and design of members internally
reinforced with FRP
-
Behavior
and design of members prestressed with FRP
-
Hybrid
FRP-concrete structures
-
Field
applications and case studies of concrete
and masonry structures combined with FRP
|
-
International codes and standards for RC
structures reinforced, prestressed or
strengthened with FRP
-
Recent
developments in composite materials and
systems (e.g. mechanical attachment,
textiles)
-
Bond of
continuous fiber composites to concrete
and masonry
-
Testing
of FRP material characteristics
-
Durability of FRP systems in concrete and
masonry structures
-
Strengthening/retrofitting of masonry
using FRP systems
